At least I got the opportunity to visit restaurant and meetingcenter Kuninkaan Lohet (The Kings salmons) in

Vantaankoski. I have past the place about twenty years meaning to go there one day. A white building, an old mill, Old Viilatehdas on the verge of the hardflowing river is an exceptionally picturesque sight that you may want to get closer to it. Vantaankoski is historically significant. The environment has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The grain mill was located from the beginning of the 19th century until the 1960s.

That nice building is not open every day. Many passers-by have noticed it then they have tried to pull the door. It is mostly the reservation restaurant. The everyday open restaurant King´s Manor situates on the other side of the road, on the top of the hill. However it is possible to visit that white mill, too if you take part some happenings which are going on there time to time or reserve it for you own parties or company activities. In the summertime the place is open for lunch.

The place is ideal for the meetings, familyparties as wedding and birthday parties.

The distance to the airport is only six kilometers.

The interior of the Old Viilatehdas fills what the layout promises. A large conference room with a big fireplace has a warm spirit. Upstairs there is two saunas one of them wood-heated There is also a smaller conference room for ”saunameetings”.

Through the windows there are great views to the river. Meeting facilities can be found from ten people up to 300 people, summertime with tents to the courtyard spreading up to 500 people.

It's nice to sit around in the lounge bar between the activities.

For groups there are all kinds of activities outside and inside, yoga, sailing, handcraft courses,photoshootin and hunting for instance. There is a simulator there you can obtain a hunting lisence shooting with replica weapons.

The foodstuff comes from the neighbourhood, from the forest and the river, rabbits, bear, salmon…
